ProConsult: The comprehensive consulting concept  

How do we go about creating SMD stencils? Every manufacturer sets different priorities in his production process, so that despite the same layout and data sets, different stencils result in detail.  

Ultimately, the decisive factor is what the customer wants and needs. That's why we at Becktronic start with our proactive and results-oriented customer consulting service ProConsult. Our ultimate goal is an exact pad layout that enables a perfect paste application without much scrap for the respective soldering process. For this purpose, we check each layout holistically on the one hand using software, but on the other hand we can also rely on the many years of experience and know-how of our employees, who often recognize optimization potential even during a visual inspection.  

Other aspects that we attach great importance to in layout design:  

• Homeplates or bowtie to avoid tombstoning 
   
• Reduction and enlargement  
   
• Volume reduction of large openings through sensible screening  
   
• Rounding of pad corners for improved paste release  
   
• Checking the area ration and aspect ratio
