For best results during the printing process, BECKTRONIC GmbH offers SMD stencils as well as corresponding, tailor-made accessories for individual assembly requirements. These include metal squeegees in various designs as well as step squeegees with an appropriate step design. A squeegee blade suitable for the respective print type is necessary for particularly precise and economical application of the solder paste on the SMD stencil. Whether metal squeegees in one continuous material thickness or step squeegees with a taper of up to 5mm at the lower squeegee edge, BECKTRONIC recommends using the same material when buying as well as during production. "Ideally, both the SMD stencil and the squeegee are made of the same material. This ensures the lowest possible friction between squeegee and SMD stencil and reduces abrasion," explains Thomas Schulte-Brinker, Managing Director of BECKTRONIC GmbH.
The company also manufactures hold-down strips for PCB guidance in stencil printers and production lines with an equally precise fit. A drawing, dxf data or an existing sample serves as production template. And here again all parts are made of high-quality stainless steel and precise to the micrometer. Delivery time after receipt of order is one to two days.
